Titletown Hosts Grand Opening For Phase 2 Park Space
Several more acres of plaza now open to the public
Titletown Development today officially expanded its park and plaza as a part of the development’s Phase 2, adding four more acres of public space that are now open for the community to visit.Titletown’s Phase 2, which has been under construction since 2018, is aimed at adding to the “live” and “work” elements of Titletown’s draw, with townhomes available to purchase and apartments in TitletownFlats and office space in TitletownOffice available for lease.“We’re pleased to add to the public space here at Titletown, providing even more opportunities for visitors, residents and community members to experience all that Titletown has to offer,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy at Tuesday’s ribbon-cutting. “Over the last four years, we’ve seen Titletown flourish and develop into a vibrant area that has something for everyone and we’re looking forward to seeing this new addition build upon that.”The newly opened space connects the entire development from South Ridge Road on the east side to Marlee Lane on the west side. Additional public parking is now available in the area, with more than 500 spaces for daily use, and several new entrances and pedestrian walkways connecting Titletown to the rest of the neighborhood. The new public area includes more plaza space, with a grand stairway and terraced green space leading from the west end of the football field to Titletown Square, a common space between TitletownFlats and TitletownOffice. Titletown Square sits atop a 20-foot-tall platform, under which is an indoor parking structure with spaces for TitletownFlats residents and office building tenants. Elevators are available on both the east and west sides of the platform. The enhanced park space will host additional events and programming to complement Titletown’s existing offerings, and the terraced green space will serve as an amphitheater for concerts and other performances. Fire pits and ample outdoor furniture will allow for visitors, community members and residents to enjoy the space no matter the season. Some activities and specialized opportunities planned for the area will be geared toward Titletown’s residents and tenants in the office building.Titletown’s Phase 2 also includes approximately 220 residences: TitletownHomes, with several completed and under-construction townhomes in the south part of the development, and TitletownFlats, an under-construction 7-story apartment building now leasing approximately 152 units, from studio to 3-bedroom. Many of the units will be move-in ready by later this fall. TitletownFlats is being built by Pepper Construction, a Midwest-based company with an office in Milwaukee. The building was designed by world renowned architecture firm NBBJ, and will be managed by Founders 3, Wisconsin’s premier multi-family management company.Phase 2 also includes TitletownOffice, a seven-story office tower with a first-floor lobby level, five levels of office space and a top floor of meeting and event space for tenant use. It consists of approximately 150,000 square feet of Class A, premium office space that likely will have several hundred workers when fully utilized. The office building will be occupied by the first tenants within the next couple of months, and can welcome more new tenants this fall.Miron Construction, which is building TitletownOffice, is set to occupy a portion of the third floor of the building, and Breakthrough will occupy the fifth and much of the fourth floor with their headquarters. In addition to the enhanced public space, office and residences, another approximately 100,000 square feet of future development is envisioned for Titletown’s Phase 2. Concepts being considered include retail, health and wellness, food and beverage, and entertainment.
