Titletown Esports League Seeking Teams to Participate
Esports League, powered by Edge VR Arcade and Gamers Lounge, will feature Rocket League and begin in February
The winter session of Titletown’s Esports League, powered by Edge VR Arcade and Gamers Lounge, is set to kick off in February, and the league is seeking teams to participate.
The program kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will include seven weeks of weekly virtual play featuring Rocket League, a digital gaming platform featuring vehicular soccer matches.
Participation in the league is free, but registration is required. Teams should consist of three players, with the option of a fourth substitute. A total of 24 teams can participate and the teams will be split into Major and Minor brackets for regular season play.
The regular season will be played virtually on any platform that Rocket League is available (PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch) and the virtual playoffs will be held the week of March 29, following the seventh week of play. Individuals without access to the game or the internet can play their matches for free at Edge VR located at 2642 Packerland Drive, Green Bay. Gameplay will be live streamed weekly via Titletown’s Facebook page. The finals will feature the top six teams and will be held in person at Titletown on Saturday, April 1.
Titletown’s Esports League is presented in partnership with Edge VR Arcade and Gamers Lounge. Edge VR Arcade is Northeast Wisconsin’s only Virtual Reality Arcade. With over 80 games in their library, they have something to cater every age group and playing style. They utilize VR video entertainment technology to enable players to fully immerse themselves in their gameplay universe.
