TITLETOWN CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF 'ARIENS HILL' THURSDAY

Grand-opening, holiday pricing temporarily set for riders

With fresh snow beginning to fall, Titletown opened Ariens Hill for tubing on Thursday, the first official day of winter. Plenty of tube riders, both the young and young at heart, were on hand to take the inaugural runs down Ariens Hill, descending from a height of 46 feet and down 300 feet from start to finish.

“We’ve been looking forward to opening Ariens Hill for tubing since the early plans were taking shape,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “We’re proud to bring this idea to life along with our partner, the Ariens Company, and we’re excited to see Ariens Hill become another destination for families and community members to come together.”

“At Ariens Company, we can’t help but anticipate the cold and the snow. With the opening of Ariens Hill, we hope that the community will now have another reason to embrace winter and outdoor family fun,” said Dan Ariens, President of the Ariens Company. “We are also looking forward to the hill being incorporated into warm weather events as a unique way for the community to enjoy the outdoors. We are honored to be a small part of this one-of-its-kind venue that the Packers organization is creating with the Titletown development.”

Following each run down the hill, Ariens Hill attendants will instruct riders to clear the runoff zone, and tubes will be returned to the top via an automated system. Riders can climb the stairs to the summit to begin another thrilling ride. Hill attendants also are present to instruct riders when to proceed down the hill.

Riders must be at least four years old and 42’’ inches tall. Full age, height and health restrictions for tubing can be found here. Titletown rental tubes must be used in order to ride down Ariens Hill, and are provided at no cost. All riders must purchase a tubing ticket to use Ariens Hill, which are available in the kiosk adjacent to 46 Below.

Additionally, grand-opening, holiday pricing has been established. During this time, Ariens Hill is offering single rides down the hill for $3 apiece. No unlimited tickets are available at this time, but riders can purchase as many tickets at a time as they would like. An end date for holiday pricing has not yet been determined. Full tubing rules, hours and admission prices are available here.

The holiday-themed Winter Jubilee Light Show is also continuing for visitors to Titletown. The remaining shows are each half hour from 6-9 p.m. on the below dates. Please note: no Winter Jubliee Light Shows will be offered Friday, Dec. 22, or Saturday, Dec. 23, due to stadium preparations for the Packers-Vikings game and the game itself.

  • Thursday, Dec. 21
  • Wednesday, Dec. 27
  • Thursday, Dec. 28
  • Friday, Dec. 29
  • Saturday, Dec. 30

In the warmer months, Ariens Hill’s sloped green space will provide a unique area for visitors and community members to relax and enjoy park activities and programs. For more information about Titletown activities and programs, please visit www.titletown.com.
